The Art Master Trainer and Public Relation Officer of the Afghan National Association for Adult Education took part in opening of the Pen Day.
A number of literary and art figures say that Afghanistan’s challenges cannot be solved through force but it would be solved through education. The idea of Pen Day is to show that a committed pen is a guarantee for progress in a society and to show the creativity of Afghan youths.
On the Pen-Day celebration at the Ghulam Mohammad Maimanagi Conservatory in Kabul, an exhibition of 130 paintings and handicrafts of students was opened.
Mohammad Rasool Bawari, Deputy and Acting Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture, beside appreciating and reminding values of Pen, pointed out the excellent presentation of creative youths during the Pen day and the important role of the National Art Gallery to develop a creative society and cultural policies. Since art does not have much priority and attention than other fields, every attempt in developing and improving art in country is appreciated.
Mr. Bawari was praised for his hard work to promote art in country by the National Art Gallery.
ANAFAE provides many art and culture education courses in its 23 Education Centers in 12 Provinces, such as calligraphy, drawing, oil painting, miniature painting and others. These art and cultural education courses have motivated many young Afghans to use their creativity and bring social problems and their ideas into the format of paintings.
