The “New Pathways for Improving Vocational Skills in Afghanistan” project is a transformative initiative designed to revolutionize vocational education and training (TVET) across Afghanistan. Led by DVV International and ANAFAE, the project aims to empower instructors, small businesses, and marginalized youth by equipping them with modern skills, innovative training methods, and pathways to sustainable livelihoods.
This impactful program focuses on two core objectives: enhancing the teaching capacity of 920 instructors within the traditional apprenticeship system and providing pre-vocational training to 400 marginalized youth.
Active in Kabul, Parwan, Balkh, and Herat, the project targets unregulated training systems and the barriers faced by youth with limited education. It introduces globally recognized methodologies, such as the ILO’s “Start and Improve Your Business” to foster entrepreneurial skills and lifelong learning.
With a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and real-world impact, the project builds brighter futures by empowering communities to adapt, innovate, and thrive in Afghanistan’s evolving economic landscape.
