Balkh, June 5: The CLC in district 3 of Mazar-e-Sharif City celebrated the graduation of 25 students. Nearly 200 participations attended the ceremony, including ANAFAE’s employees, and students of CLC3, Directors of Shahid Abdul Ali Mazari High Schoo, Roshan Mazair School and Khurosan Girl High School, students’ parents and several local influentials.
In all, 25 students (13 female & 12 male) were graduated from different short and medium term courses (3 moths, 6 months, 2 years) such as Islamic Education Holy Quran, Art and Culture, Beauty Parlour, Science and Information Technology (IT).
The ceremony started with recitation of versus of the Holy Quran by one of the students. Then the national anthem was played.
Ms. Shegufa Raofi, the CLC3, manager, welcomed the participants and congratulated the graduates and their families. She briefly explained the audience about ALC education services and programs, and appreciated the teachers for their professional work and teaching the youth of the city.
Mr. Davood Ibrahim, in the name of ANAFAE congratulated the graduates and appreciated the continuing efforts of ALCs/CLCs in north zone, especially in CLC 3 in Mazar. He briefly informed about the activities and programs run by ALC/CLC in north zone and added that ANAFAE and its relevant education centers are committed to provide quality education services to youth. He underlined that ALC/CLC provides educational services and employability skills based on client’s needs and interests.
Part of the graduation event was allocated to the CLC vocal group who presented a new anthem titled “country”. One student of the center who had written an English article titled “Ramadan” read it out to the participants.
Miss Mina, one of the graduates on behave of other graduates in her speech thanked the CLC 3 team for provision of good education services and maintaining good management at the education centre. She said: “I am very happy today that I could complete the Science and Konkor learning course successfully which is a very big success in my life. Now I am fully prepared and in better spirit and can attend the Konkor exam (university entrance exam).
The Adult Education and Community Centres of ANAFAE offer a wide range of educational services for those young adults who are in schools, in transition from school to university or to working life, who are university students, unemployed job seekers or in employment.
The Afghan National Association for Adult Education (ANAFAE) supports a network of 22 Adult Education and Community Learning Centres in 12 provinces (Kabul, Herat, Parwan, Baghlan, Kundoz, Takhar, Badakhshan, Samangan, Balkh, Jawozjan, Faryab and Sar-e-Pol). These ALCs/CLCs provides professional education services for young people between 16 and 26 year of age.
At the end, the graduation certificates were distributed to the participants. The ANAFAE programme team in Mazar and the education Manager of CLC 3 handed over appreciation letter certificates to the head of education departments for their good teaching efforts.
