Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of all project activities related to climate change vulnerability, impacts, and adaptive practices, ensuring effective delivery in the local context of Takhar and Kunduz provinces.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all project activities in both provinces.
  • Coordinate with field teams, trainers, local stakeholders, and government agencies.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of training and awareness activities as per the project plan.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare periodic narrative and financial reports.
  • Facilitate logistics for field activities including travel, accommodation, and safety.
  • Document lessons learned, and case studies, and compile progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies and standards.
  • Represent the project in meetings and relevant coordination forums.
  • Prepare project reports and present them to ANAFAE and donors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Master’s preferred) in Project Management, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in project coordination and management, preferably in environmental or climate change projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects in insecure and rural areas.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dari and English; Pashto is an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and stay in field sites for extended periods.
