ANAFAE Trains 50 Literacy Trainers to Teach Post Literacy Education

Afghan National Association For Adult Education, ANAFAE, in its efforts to provide better quality education  for its literacy trainees, trained 50 literacy trainers who will conduct the three months post literacy education.

The training were held for 14 literacy trainers in Kabul and 36 literacy trainers in Mazar-e-Sharif city of Balkh province. All the participants were female. Both training started from 1st September and lasted till 12th September for a duration of ten days.

During these 10 days training in both places, the literacy trainers were trained on how to teach the post literacy education and its components, Health education, Civic education and Own Economic Education.

The literacy courses are conducted for nine months in two phases, Basic literacy education and Post literacy education. Before each of the mentioned phases or stages of literacy education, the trainers and supervisors are trained in literacy teaching methodology with specific focus on the content of Basic Literacy Education and Post Literacy Education books, along with literacy components.

This year ANAFAE is conducting 10 literacy classes in Kabul city and 30  in Mazar-e-Sharif. In each  literacy class, more or less 25 literacy trainees are trained.
