Community Learning Center (CLC), Mazar District 3
The CLC D3 is located in the city, Sayed-Abad, Next to Shahid Mazari High School, District 5, this CLC has 8 class rooms.
Target groups are young people at the age of 16 to 26 mainly young women. They are in their last classes of school, in transition from school to higher education or from school to working life. Some students are at universties. A big group is searching for jobs and others are employed or have an own smal business and need addtional qualifications.
Families, parens form the community who send their sons and daughters to take part in the education courses.
The CLC provides education services for new life opportunities:
- For students in grades 9–12 to successfully complete school through complementary instruction especially in natural sciences subjects, in order to support their graduation from school or and to open up new pathways to higher education.
- And better chances for young people in transition from school to working life. They gain new skills and competences for the Afghanistan of tomorrow and increase their employability in various fields, like IT, web design, mobile phone repair, English, as well as in finance, business and office work related skills.
This CLC D3 has 16 teachers, and four of them have bachelor degrees.
